Hangovers Can Affect Anyone...
It is well documented that consuming as few as two drinks of alcohol can be enough to cause some degree of a hangover, even the slightest. It doesn't matter what type of alcohol you drink - beer, liquor or wine - it all gets processed the same in your body. And since most social or occasional drinkers are likely to have two or more drinks when they do drink, it's not really a question of whether you are going to get a hangover, but rather how bad will your hangover be.
Maybe it will just be a mild hangover where you get a small headache, you are a little fuzzy, have some dry mouth and are tired. You will most likely not even think or admit that you have a hangover. You most often feel better by mid-day. But this IS a hangover.
Maybe it will be a moderate hangover where you get a strong headache, you have a little nausea, your mouth and throat are very dry, you have minor muscle aches, your digestive system is feeling "off" and you are very tired. You will certainly not be in the best mood and will not be productive or energetic. You will most likely not feel better until late afternoon or early evening. No question - this IS a hangover.
Maybe it will be the dreaded killer hangover where you get a pounding headache, your muscles and joints ache, you are very nauseous, your mouth and throat are super dry and your voice is gone, your head is foggy and you are completely exhausted. Forget your mood, you feel like it's the end of the world and you'll never drink again. You should spend the full day in bed or on the couch - your day is a total loss. You will definitely not feel better for at least 24 hours. Again, no question - this IS a hangover.
The Bottom Line..
Any time you drink alcohol, you risk getting some type of a hangover, even if you never become intoxicated.
